What does it mean if there is a dead rabbit at your door?

My (African) neighbor (who has reported me for noise violations) knocked on my door to show me a dead rabbit that was at my doorstep. So close that I would have stepped on it if I did'nt know it was there. What does this mean? (he also asked for a plastic bag so he could throw it in the dumpster...nasty)
