Can i get out of a fraternity if i still owe dues?

i owe 600 dollars to my fraternity because i stopped paying dues and i was hoping they would just kick me out for not paying them. i dont really get along with these fellas anymore and want to get out but now im being threatened with a 600 dollar bill and something that has to do with a company called bill highway. is there anything i can do to just get out without having to pay these dues?
