I am going on my first date with a foreign girl and i need some good advice?

the girl that i am going with has asked me to go for salsa dancing i really dont have a clue that what should i wear should i go with what i always wear like jeans and a t-shirt with a jacket or something else and how should i greet her with a formal handshake or a hug ??? please help me out
