Why is my tremolo sticking up on my fender american strat???

ok i got my strat in sept. of this year and they came with silver bullet strings on it and my broke so my dad went 2 the music store and the owner said the only thing better than the silver bullets would be elixirs so my dad got some and i strung them in my strat from the back like ur sposta and it is just sticking up.. it still plays good i was just curious on what i should do
