Can someone read a snippet of my writing and give me honest and helpful criticism?

It's honestly great. Only criticism I can give is the last paragraph. Try not to start so many sentences with I, unless the essay is opinionated and asks for a thesis statement. If it's asking your opinion, the I factor is fine, just try to cramp it into compound sentences and limit the number of I's there. It's great, and good luck! ;)
